¡Hola! =) =) =) =) ¡ FELIZ NAVIDAD!
¡Buenos dias! I am doing absolutely wonderfully!! I am so happy to be here in Argentina! It is a wonderful place and the people are soooo friendly! As far as what we have been doing (I am very sorry, I will not be doing conjunctions anymore because I do not know where to find how to do the apostrophe =S), Saturday we had a baptism of 11 people. It was a stake baptism. My companion and I, the hermanas we live with, our zone and district leaders and another pair of elders in our zone all had people being baptized. It was so awesome! The people seemed so happy afterward!! We had a stake activity after that with all the new converts. It was so fun but we got home so stinking late and I was so tired! I do not think I am quite caught up on my sleep yet, but it is all right! =) They warned us at the mission home when we got to Argentina that the beds here are really dangerous because they call to you. They did not explain, however, how true that statement was. My bed is sooooo comfy. Well, compared to the MTC beds, anywhere else you sleep is amazing. I definitely sleep better here than I did there. Its awesome. Sunday was so rough because I was so tired, but I loved being in the classes and listening to the spanish I could not understand. Let me explain something…Argentina people do not always finish their words. The will drop their s and like I told you, Mom, and the girls, the SH is KILLING me! I am not used to hearing it and when I speak to people and forget to speak with the castellano accent, sometimes they have NO idea what I am saying. It is kind of ridiculous, but I told my companion to correct me when I forget to use it. I blame Hermano Adams. It is his fault that I cannot understand ANYONE! ;) After church we ate with a family that lives in the area of the other Hermanas. They have 3 boys, Enrique, Gorge, and Franko. ¡Ay que rica fue la comida! They invited one of the new convert families over to eat with us. That family has 2 girls and a boy. Camila, Josguey…I probably butchered that kids name, and (I can never remember the name of their daughter), sorry!!The boys kept telling me to tell them jokes and I only know two jokes in spanish. Other than the ones this elder in the office was telling us the day we got there. They were mailisimos I guess. Meaning we should not ever tell them. I told the boys they need to help me with my spanish. Their mom kept saying, ¨do not worry, you will get accustomed to it.¨ I sure hope so because I feel so dadgum stupid sometimes! Yesterday we did A LOT of street contacting. When I say that I mean we tried. You have to be able to speak so fast when you do that and I get so tongue tied. After a while I started talking to people that were already stopped looking at something so they could not run away from me. It is really tough, but it can be fun. You just have to keep the right attitude and keep trying. If I am doing all I can and they still reject me, they are not really rejecting me, they are rejecting the message and Jesus Christ. Anyway, I need to write my mission president now! Thank you all for your prayers, I love it here. I know this is where I am supposed to be. I know what I am doing is the best thing ever! I am so excited to talk to you on Thursday! Merry Christmas to everyone! Chau!
